DoFirst is an app that helps users manage focus time, limit distracting apps, and review focus progress. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information the app stores locally and how that information is used.

Data We Process

The app may store the following information locally on your device:

Focus rules, scheduled time periods, and rule enabled states
Focus sessions, unlock records, emergency unlock records, daily statistics, and streak counts
Your selected goal type and preferences
Privacy-preserving selection tokens provided by Apple FamilyControls for the apps, categories, or websites you choose to limit

Screen Time and FamilyControls

With your explicit permission, the app uses Apple Screen Time technologies, including FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity, to help you select apps, categories, or websites to limit and apply restrictions during focus sessions or scheduled periods.

Your app selections are handled through Apple's privacy-preserving system picker. DoFirst does not read or upload a plain-text list of selected apps and does not use Screen Time data for advertising, analytics, or third-party sharing.

How Data Is Used

To apply restrictions to the apps, categories, or websites you choose during focus periods.
To provide temporary entertainment unlock time after a completed focus session.
To show local statistics such as focus duration, completed sessions, unlock count, and streaks.
To save your settings for future use.

Storage and Sharing

All data is stored locally on your device. DoFirst has no server, does not require an account, and does not transmit your personal data, app selections, or focus records over the internet.

We do not sell data.
We do not share data with third parties.
The app does not include advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs.
The main app and Screen Time extensions share necessary state locally through Apple App Groups.

Children's Privacy

DoFirst is designed for individual self-management and productivity. It is not intended to monitor children or third parties. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
